Det Snöar Mycket i Sverige! aka It Snows alot in Sweden!

November 27, 2010

Well, I finally figured out how to post photos, yay me! But I couldn’t figure out how to add the texty part to the same blog entry. Challenged I know, but I’ll get the hang of it.
Anywho, I’m on the last few days of a business/vacation trip to Sweden. As stated in my first blog, I will be moving to Sweden in the near future. So this trip was to get my personal number, which is the equivalent to a social security number in the US. I also was able to open a bank account. I got two birds with one stone! I feel real accomplished and can’t wait to get back to the states to start preparing for the move. I have it pinpointed to two time frames, I like to have Plan A and Plan B prepared because you never know what can happen and would suck if there wasn’t a backup plan.  So Summer 2011 or Winter 2011, it shall be. I’m pushing for Summer, it’s just easier with kids being out of school, and much nicer weather.  As I said it snows alot on Sweden. But financially it may have to happen in the winter, either way it’s happening in 2011.
I have never been in so much snow in my life, it is cool and yep very cold! I think I can handle it when I live in Sweden, I just may not go out much. Nice book, some crafts or scrapin’, internet and a DVD collection oughta do it! I think a white snowy Christmas will rock! I’m excited! As they say here in Sweden, ” There is no bad weather, only bad clothes.” This statement rings true, I am not totally outfitted for winter in Sweden and it definitely makes a difference. I brought my Doc Marten boots which help with not slipping and falling on my ass when we are out. Good choice, but I didn’t bring proper socks, so my tootsies get frozen and numb. Bad choice. But it’s only a 15day tour, so I will manage. Next winter however, I will get the proper gear.
I could go on and on, but I shan’t, yes I use my own random lingo as well, so you know how I speak and maybe get the gist of it. So today, we will attempt to go see the Gävle Bock, which is a giant goat that represents the city of Gävle and I believe also represents one of Odins goats, I think my next blog will be about the Gävle Bock and a little of its history. Hopefully, I’ll have some photos, weather permitting.
Until, next time…

Just a preview photo from a previous year.
